GWINNETT, Ga. — Every third Monday of the month, residents gather to unleash their creativity in the crafting corner of the Dacula Library.
This month, the adult crafting group is giving back through crafting with a cause. Participants will be crocheting for homeless animals and people through mid-November. The group is making and collecting hand-knitted wash clothes and dog toys to be donated to area animal shelters and transitional shelters.
A meeting was held Monday afternoon to teach participants how to knit the washcloth and dog toys that will be donated. Collections for the hand knitted items will continue through November 11. The Dacula library is also collecting monetary donations to buy the knitting supplies for the project.
If you're interested in getting involved, you can find out more information here.
Next month's crafting corner will be held on November 18 from 3 pm to 4 pm. The craft will include making wreaths from real leaves. A cause has not yet been announced.
