Gwinnett police search for suspect of five restaurant burglaries

Police are asking for the public assistance in identifying a man suspected of robbing five stores in Norcross.

NORCROSS, Ga. —

 

Gwinnett police need help identifying a man who they believe broke into five restaurants in Norcross, Georgia. 

The string of burglaries began around 3:09 am on January 24th at The Federal Coffee on Spalding Drive, where he stole approximately $1000 dollars from the manager's office. The suspect then went to the Taaj Market Kabab Grill, located at 6385 Spalding Drive, broke in, and stole $100. 

On January 29, 2019, the suspect burglarized the restaurants Ten Bistro and Osteria di Mare, located at 5005 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners. The suspect again gains entry by shattering the glass of the front door. He is seen entering Ten Bistro at 4:15 am. The suspect is seen shattering the front glass to Osteria di Mare at 4:23 am. He leaves at 4:25 am. 

Approximately 40 minutes later, at 5:05 am, the same suspect is see breaking into the Tavern at Medlock located at 3230 Medlock Bridge Road in unincorporated Norcross. The suspect again shatters the glass to gain entry. Once inside, he steals approximately $1,000 in cash.

Police provided surveillance photos of the suspect. He is described as a male wearing a gray hoodie, jogging pants, and his face covered. He appears to be wearing 2015 Nike Air Max Shoes, one black glove and one white glove, and carrying a flashlight. The suspect is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and approximately 140 pounds.
