Gwinnett County Solicitor General's Office to host event to expunge records

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office is hosting the Restriction Summit to expunge misdemeanors on Oct. 19.

The event will take place at Georgia Gwinnett College from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Student Union Building E at Georgia Gwinnett College, located at 1000 University Parkway in Lawrenceville.

In order to participate in the expungement event must submit a form to the solicitor’s office beforehand located in the Gwinnett in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.

In order to have the criminal record reviewed for restriction, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Arrested in Gwinnett County Jurisdiction
  • Must not be convicted/found guilty in trial
  • Did not plead guilty/no lo contendere
  • Certain misdemeanors under the age of 21
  • Complete a Pre-Trial Diversion Program
  • Complete “First Offender” case

The online pre-registration deadline passed Oct. 12, however those interested can still submit the form via fax to the Gwinnett County Solicitor’s Office at (770) 822-8339 or bring them in person to the Solicitor’s Office.
