Meet Buster & Kitty | Gwinnett County Animal Welfare's pets of the week

Buster is available for free adoptions this weekend only.

Meet Buster, a 5-year-old Rottweiler mix. Buster is very active and responsive to basic commands. He is very friendly and loves to be rubbed and kissed.  He has been in the care of Gwinnett Animal Welfare for nearly 30 days and is waiting to find his forever home.

Kitty is a newly born kitten at the Gwinnett Animal Welfare looking for a foster parent. The foster program at GCAWC allows prospective pet owners to test out caring for a small animal by becoming a temporary pet parent during a short time period. Because Kitty is so small, she cannot be adopted until she reaches a full 2 lbs.

Kitty loves people and will quickly cuddle up and ask for lots of petting.

My Lawrenceville News powered by 11Alive has partnered with the animal shelter to highlight these pets. The adoption fees at the animal welfare center are usually $30 for cats and $45 for dogs, plus a $25 mandatory microchip.

This weekend only all fees will be waived for Kitty and Buster.
