New Stripers GM knows getting fans involved is top priority

Adam English joins Gwinnett from the Giants AAA affiliate, Sacramento.

Adam English want fans packing Coolray Field this year and says that getting involved in the community is the way to do that.

English joined the Gwinnett Stripers as Vice President and General Manager on November 27 from the Sacramento River Cats, the San Francisco Giants AAA affiliate where he served as Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service.

Sacramento was one of the top 10 minor league baseball teams in attendance last year.

“Communities can exist without baseball teams, but baseball teams can't exist without communities,” English said. “So, to be involved in every aspect of the community through the schools through the youth programs, that's how I want to connect there.”

One of the most notable parts of the minor league baseball fan experience is the promotions, and English said they are at work on the Stripers’ promotional calendar now.

English also addressed the Stripers proximity to the parent club, the Braves, as well as the team’s stadium partnership with Atlanta United 2.
