SNELLVILLE, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Police Department needs your help to identify a man who robbed a Chevron convenience store in August.
Police say that he frequented the store and came in weekly to buy juice or cigarettes.
On Tuesday, August 20 at around 11 p.m., police say the man came into the Chevron at 3180 Stone Mountain Hwy armed with a handgun.
Police say the man can be seen on camera entering the store but walks out when he sees a customer enter the store. Store owners told police that the man entered the store after the last customer left.
That is when he approached the employee behind the counter and demanded the contents from the cash register.
The suspect then fled the area on foot.
The store employee told police at the time of the robbery that the suspect may have taken around $1,000 but was unable to verify the exact amount at that time.
Neither store employees nor the police know the suspect’s name or identity.
