Who's the boss? Thompson Tree Farm, a family business

For nearly two decades Thompson Tree Farm has been a popular holiday attraction. It's owned by Tommy and Denise Thompson.

It has been almost two decades since Denise and Tommy Thompson has open Thompson Tree Farm.

So of course Christmas time is a Thompson family favorite on their 7 acre farm.

Especially for the Thompson's Granddaughter 9-year-old Mary Margaret Cooper, who has dubed herself as the boss.

According to Cooper's mother Natalie, Mary Margaret has called herself the boss since she was three years old.

"Since she could talk she has been helping out at the farm," Cooper said.

Typically, you can find Mary Margaret helping out her Grandmother Denise at the cash register.

The shy 9-year-old boss comes alive at the register. Checking out each guest and making sure she ask for donations for Toys for Tot's.

The donations Thompson Tree Farm collects for Toys for Tot's helps buy gifts for teens and tweens.

Mary Margaret says it's important to her because her parents taught her it's better to give than receive.

"She has a pretty big heart and I am proud of that," Cooper said.
