NEWNAN, Ga. -- One person has been arrested in the murder of a Newnan man that happened earlier this week.
Police said Orenthal Jermaine Carroll shot and killed Adrian Cantrell Sheffield, 44, on April 4 around 9:45 pm.
The shooting happened outside 19 Octavia Place. Police arrived and found Sheffield dead on the scene.
Investigators said Sheffield and Carroll were involved in an argument, during which Carroll pulled a small handgun and shot and killed Sheffield.
