2017 Can-a-Thon drive: THANK YOU.

11Alive News is holding one of the largest canned food drives. Here's everything you need to know in order to participate.

UPDATE: Wow! We can't thank you enough for your tremendous support this year! Together we collected more than 216,000 cans (and still counting!) at our locations.

This will help put food on the table for those in need over the next year.

If you missed out, you can still text your donation by texting CANATHON to 41444, or clicking here.

THANK YOU so much for your support. Let's do it again next year!

It's that time of year again -- time to join 11Alive for a tradition 35 years in the making: Can-a-thon!

Food insecurity is a very big issue in the United States. In 2015, 15.8 million households were food insecure. And 6.3 million households didn't know where their next meal would come. Those numbers include 13.1 million children. A total of 42.2 million Americans live in homes without stable food security.

11Alive and the Salvation Army want you to help curb those numbers and change lives in our community.

FULL COVERAGE | All things 2017 Can-A-Thon
