Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said police got the call around 8:30 Monday night after a family member found the teens' bodies inside a home on Montego Circle.

"It appears that the male subject shot and killed the female before shooting himself. Motive for the incident is still undetermined and under investigation," Mabury said. Autopsy and toxicology results for the teens are still pending.

Officials gave an update on the incident during a news conference at Clayton County Police headquarters Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said the teens appeared to have suffered from multiple gunshot wounds, though investigators are not sure what type of gun was used in the incident. How the gun was obtained is also still under investigation.

During the news conference, police said the two teens had been in a previous relationship, but did not know what the status of their current relationship before the shooting was.

Neighbors were shocked to hear the news about the teens' deaths. One neighbor, Darren Williams, said he knew Andrews and would see him in the neighborhood on a regular basis.
