Police have not found evidence that he has made contact with a child and are stopping short of calling him a child predator.

ROSWELL, Ga. — Police are searching for a man who allegedly had an unusual interaction with children in a Roswell apartment complex.

Roswell Police are looking into a complaint from a resident of Avia Riverside Apartment Homes regarding a suspicious person who was in the area on Wednesday.

According to the witness, the man made "non-verbal communication" with juveniles playing at the complex. That communication was described as "kissing motions" toward the kids.

The witness told police that the person of interest, in this case, appeared to be a black male in his 30s who was balding and driving a four-door silver sedan. Police don't yet know if the man is a resident of the complex.

The Roswell Police Department also added that they have heard from the community that some have described the man as a "sexual predator" on social media.

However, police said that they would not use that descriptor based on the behavior described to officers so far. The department added that there's no information to indicate this person has made physical contact with any child.

However, police are hoping anyone with more information about the incident or the suspect will call Detective Jennifer Bennett at 770-640-4380.
