ROSWELL, Ga. — Sometimes, when nature and civilization meet, it isn't pretty.
Case in point, an accident on Ga. 400 on Friday that left a deer dead and a driver lucky to be alive.
According to the Roswell police department, a "shocked and unsuspecting" driver was headed north on the major highway between Holcomb Bridge and Mansell roads when a deer went through the windshield. Police said the driver was unhurt, but the deer, which landed in the passenger seat, died at the scene.
The Roswell Police Department posted a picture of the aftermath on their Facebook page with a warning Friday afternoon: "Be careful driving home from your holiday travels this weekend."
