Ex-Roswell councilman pleads guilty in child porn case

Kent Igleheart to face sentencing in Federal court in March.

ROSWELL, Ga. -- Former Roswell City Councilman Kent Igleheart pleaded guilty last week to federal charges of producing, receiving and possessing child pornography.

Federal investigators and Dekalb police gathered evidence that Igleheart posed online as a teenage boy and exchanged sexually explicit photographs with a 17-year-old girl. They also say that Igleheart allegedly posed online as a teenage boy and conducted graphic sexual conversations with other teenage girls and persuaded them to send him erotic photos and videos of themselves.

"There is no sentence that can lessen the harm that has been caused to these young children, but at least this suspect will be stopped from pursuing his egregious acts," said Special Agent in Charge David J. LeValley of the FBI's Atlanta field office.

Igleheart is scheduled to appear before a federal judge in Atlanta on March 26 for sentencing.
