HIRAM, Ga. -- A 15-year-old is being charged as an adult after authorities say he shot and killed another teenager in Hiram, Georgia.
According to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called out to a home on Calm Waters Avenue just before 7 p.m. on Feb. 2 They found an 18-year-old in grave condition after being shot in the head.
Deputies arrested the suspect, Seth William Wyatt, at an apartment complex in Dallas, Georgia a short time later.
The injured man, 18-year-old Kaileb Chance Ellison, passed away on Feb. 7 at an Atlanta-area hospital, sheriff's officials said.
Authorities have charged Wyatt as an adult with malice murder, murder, aggravated assault, possession of a pistol by a minor, altering a serial number on a firearm and two counts of violation of the Georgia Street Gang Act.
Wyatt is being held without bond at a metro Atlanta youth detention center.
