SMYRNA, Ga. — Police in a Cobb County town are attempting to gather information on a body found in a parking lot on Saturday.

Smyrna Police spokesperson Sgt. Louis Defense confirmed that the department was called to the scene of an unattended death in the parking lot of Goodwill which is at 3205 S. Cobb Drive.

So far, police are still trying to determine if there was any foul play but the store is open for business.

"Once the investigation unfolds and I have more information, I will keep the community informed," Defense wrote.

He added that while the store is open, the investigation is still ongoing and shoppers should avoid the area surrounded by crime scene tape.
