14-year-old shot, flammable liquid thrown at house in South Fulton incident

We're still working to obtain more details.

ATLANTA — A 14-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being injured in an overnight shooting.

Authorities said it happened at a home on Wewatta Street in the City of South Fulton around 3 a.m. on Wednesday. Police said a Molotov-style cocktail with a flammable liquid was also thrown at the house, which started a fire and prompted an arson investigation, as well.

Police said the teen was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not life-threatening. At this time, no suspects have been named.

In an update, police said they were executing a search warrant on the home and were questioning the 14-year-old to see if they could gather more details on what happened.
