Teens arrested after Cherokee County church tagged with graffiti, robbed

The teens were charged with burglary and causing damage to a place of worship.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — Law enforcement officers have arrested three teens in connection with a church vandalism investigation.

In June, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said someone broke into the Faith Family Church off Bells Ferry Road in Acworth to steal money and desecrate the interior of the church.

Photos shared by the sheriff's office showed several broken windows, disturbing graffiti spraypainted onto the walls and other areas of the church, toppled furniture and broken light fixtures.

Friday, investigators said they arrested three suspects - all of which are between 13 and 15 years old.

The teens were charged with burglary and causing damage to a place of worship.
