KENNESAW, Ga. — The holiday season is stressful for everyone, but especially for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

The Marcus Autism Center and Town Center at Cobb are teaming up to host a "Sensory-Sensitive Shopping Hour" on Sunday, November 18, from noon to 1 p.m.

During this time, shops and businesses will take simple steps for 60 minutes that will lead to a sensory-friendly shopping experience, including quieter music, reduction of noise, dimmed lights, trained staff, and opportunities for the public to learn about ASD.
