Union City Police arrested a man in connection with a murder that happened at a Motel 6.
Police charged Darius Jones of Fairburn with the murder of Decarlos White. Authorities arrested Jones as he reported to his probation officer for an unrelated charged.
Officers said they were called to the motel on Flat Shoals Road at 12:50 a.m. on April 6 to respond to gunshots.
They found the 23-year-old victim shot in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Union City Police are still investigating the murder.
