Murdered Phoenix woman's Mexican family picks up her body as her sons are still missing

As Oralia Nuñez's parents are faced with the devastating task of picking up their daughter's body, an Amber Alert is still active for her two sons.

PHOENIX — The family of a murdered Phoenix woman crossed the border Monday with broken hearts from grieving the loss of their daughter but also her missing sons.

More than a week after pregnant 24-year-old Oralia Nuñez was found murdered in her apartment, there is still an active Amber Alert, in Arizona and in Mexico, for her two boys, 8-year-old Victor Coronado-Nuñez and 5-year-old Jonathan Coronado-Nuñez.

The boys are believed to have been kidnaped by their biological father Dimas Coronado. He is also the primary suspect in the murder of Nuñez, her unborn baby, and her roommate Omar Gonzalez.

"There's no forgiving him. Even God won't forgive him because he shouldn't have taken my daughter's life," Nuñez's mother said through tears at the Arizona-Mexico border Monday.

Officials have extended the Amber Alert into Mexico, as well as an arrest warrant for Coronado. Police say he's likely armed and that the children may be in danger.

Detectives are looking for an older model, light green ford pickup truck with a white camper shell. The truck has a Mexican state of Chihuahua license plate ZUD7164.

Friends and family of Nuñez have been raising money for her funeral. Now her parents are making a devastating trek to pick up her body. Homeland Security initially denied Nuñez's parents entry into the U.S. but after 12 News contacted Congressman Raúl Grijalva, his office coordinated with border officials to grant her family humanitarian parole for one week.

Nuñez's parents are holding out hope that their grandsons will be safely returned to them.

"What I want is that he returns the kids to us," Nuñez's mother said.
