Victim of Stockbridge shooting identified; still no suspects

Officers found the woman unresponsive on the floor.

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. -- Homicide detectives in Clayton County are following leads to figure out who killed a woman inside a Stockbridge home Tuesday night.

Clayton County Police officers responded to a home off Black Forest Trail around 8 p.m. April 11 after getting reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived to the house, they found the front door open and an unresponsive woman lying face-down on the floor. Police said it appeared that the woman, 27-year-old Priscilla Colbert, had at least one gunshot wound, and emergency responders declared her dead at the scene.

Now, detectives are trying to find the person responsible for the murder. Investigators said that they have identified several "persons of interest" and are conducting interviews to get more information, but they have not named a suspect at this time.

Investigators said they've also not released the woman's identity because they have been unable to find her next of kin to notify them.

The Clayton County Police Department is asking anyone with information about the case to contact police or CrimeStoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477)
