ATLANTA -- Police said a motorcyclist was critically injured after he was struck by a bus on Marietta Boulevard in northwest Atlanta Monday evening.
According to Atlanta Police Officer Jarius Daugherty, it happened at about 9:23 p.m. when the unidentified motorcyclist was heading southbound on Marietta Boulevard and failed to stop at the traffic light at the Coronet Way intersection.
At the intersection, the motorcycle hit the front right side of a MARTA bus which was making a left turn from Coronet Way onto southbound Marietta Boulevard.
Daugherty says the motorcyclist was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta in critical condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The police investigation remains underway.
