MARIETTA, Ga. -- Police in Cobb County say the husband of a woman found dead inside her home has turned himself in to authorities.

According to the Cobb County Police Department, officers went to a home at 936 Liberty Hill Road around 11:30 a.m. to perform a welfare check. When officers got to there, they found the body of 66-year-old Roxanne Eaton.

Investigators had been looking into what led Eaton's death when they said her husband Donny Eaton turned himself over to Bartow County authorities. The 64-year-old has since been transferred and is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. He's been charged with Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.

The Cobb County Medical Examiner's Office has not confirmed how Eaton died, but investigators said they suspect foul play in her death.

No other information is known at this time.
