$1 million Powerball ticket sold in Jackson, Georgia

The lucky ticket was purchased at a Superette gas station, officials said.

JACKSON, Ga. — Someone in Georgia is $1 million richer, after winning the Powerball jackpot on Feb. 27. The lucky ticket was sold at a Superette gas station on Highway 36 in Jackson, at 2381 Highway 36 E.

The winner hasn’t come forward to claim the prize, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers for the Feb. 27 Powerball drawing were 21-31-42-49-59 and the Powerball was 24. The lucky ticket matched the first five winning numbers.

All Powerball proceeds benefit education in the state of Georgia, including the HOPE Scholarship program and Pre-K, which has helped over 1.6 million 4-year-olds attend the voluntary program.
