LAGRANGE, Ga. — One person is in custody and police are looking for two more suspects after investigators believe a group turned on their counterpart as they were on their way to commit a robbery.

On July 11, authorities responded to the 2200 block of New Hutchinson Mill Road in LaGrange after a male subject was on the side of the road and appeared to have been severely injured and bleeding.

The victim, later identified as 20-year-old Siemeon Sneed, had "multiple severe injuries over most of his body including what appeared to be numerous stab wounds," a release from the Troup County Sheriff's Office said.

Sneed was transported to a Columbus-area hospital due to the seriousness of his injuries and has since been released. Investigators were able to speak with the victim at the scene and at the hospital.

Investigators believe that Sneed and three other men were in the Atlanta area and planning to come to LaGrange to "commit some type of robbery."

While the four were en route, the three other males turned on Sneed, made him get out of the car and "beat and kicked him repeatedly and stabbed him at least eight times on various parts of his body causing him to pass out," police said.

The three suspects put Sneed in the trunk of the car and drove off with the intent of killing him at another location, police say.

Very shortly after being placed in the trunk, "the victim came to and was able to use the emergency trunk release, open the truck and jump out of the car."

The three suspects then fled the area once they realized he had escaped.

During the investigation two suspects were identified and charges have been filed against 30-year-old Kadezmeon Lovett, of Morrow, and 29-year-old Thillinius Gray, of LaGrange. The third suspect has not been identified.

They are charged with criminal attempted murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, robbery, and possession of a knife during certain felonies.

Lovett has been arrested, while Gray and the third suspect are still being sought.

If anyone has information on the locations of Gray and Andrews you are asked to 706-883-1616 or Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000. This investigation continues, nothing further at this time.
