Man wanted for allegedly dragging Barrow County deputy with vehicle

The deputy sustained minor injuries, according to the sheriff's office.

BARROW COUNTY, Ga. — A man is wanted after deputies said he dragged a law enforcement officer with a vehicle over the weekend.

The Barrow County Sheriff's Office is searching for Samuel Brock.

The sheriff's office said in a Facebook post that on the night of April 27, their deputies were called to assist Georgia State Patrol with a traffic checkpoint on Pickle Simon Road near the Barrow County airport.

During the checkpoint, deputies said Brock pulled up and was being checked to determine if he and any warrants for an arrest. As a deputy tried to remove Brock from the vehicle, he reportedly drove off and dragged the deputy for a short distance. The deputy sustained minor injuries, according to the sheriff's office.

Brock is now wanted for multiple violations. Anyone who sees him is asked to contact police.
