Police confiscate camera hidden inside Alpharetta Starbucks bathroom stall

An officer found nearly two dozen videos recorded of people using the bathroom.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Police are trying to figure out who stuck a hidden camera inside the stall of an Alpharetta Starbucks to secretly record female customers.

On Tuesday afternoon, a customer at the Starbucks off Old Milton Parkway told police while in the bathroom she noticed a strange object under the baby changing station directly in front of the toilet seat. When she looked closer, she found a small camera and battery pack taped inside the stall.

The woman pulled the camera away and immediately told the store manager what she'd found and where the camera was hidden. Shortly after, they called police to report what happened, and the manager filed a report with Starbucks' corporate offices.

An officer took the camera, where he found nearly two dozen videos recorded of people using the bathroom.

Police are now looking to reference surveillance video from inside the store to hopefully pinpoint the person who set the camera up.

11Alive has reached out to Starbucks for a statement on the matter.
