In a new 11Alive poll, Kemp held a slight lead over Cagle, 40 percent to 34 percent, but with a huge 26 percent still undecided. The poll has a 4.7-percent margin of error.

The runoff’s final week was filled with drama. First, Gov. Nathan Deal endorsed Cagle, but that news was topped by President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Kemp.

Then, on Saturday, Vice President Mike Pence appeared in Macon for a Kemp campaign rally.
