Alabama head coach Nick Saban has reportedly apologized to ESPN's Maria Taylor, one day after directly criticizing the college football reporter during Saturday's night's broadcast of 'Bama and Louisville.

Immediately after the Crimson Tide's 51-14 victory over the Cardinals in Orlando, Fla., Saban received an on-field question from Taylor regarding Alabama's quarterbacking duo of Tua Tagovailoa (Saturday's starter) and Jalen Hurts–last year's starting passer for every outing, including the College Football Playoff title game vs. Georgia.

For the championship game, Tagovailoa engineered a comeback win in overtime.

Saban then lashed out with the following live rant:

For the record, Tagovailoa posted substantially better stats versus Louisville, accounting for 253 total yards and three touchdowns. Hurts, in turn, tallied only 79 total yards.

Here are three questions for the 11Alive viewing audience:

1. Was Saban's response too harsh ... or was the whole situation overblown by social media?

2. Would Saban have apologized, if this matter didn't occur on live television?

3. Did Saban's behavior even warrant an apology to Taylor?
