CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A man wanted in connection with a deadly nightclub shooting in December was busted one county over after being reported as a 'suspicious person.'
Police said they were called to Osbourne Court after reports of a man and woman sitting in a vehicle. When they arrived, they smelled marijuana coming from his car and ended up confiscating 11.5 ounces of it along with scales and a gun.
Both the man and woman were taken to jail where police soon learned that marijuana was far from the most severe charge he was facing. The man ended up being Monte Glover, one of two suspects tied to a shooting at Traxx nightclub in McDonough near I-75.
Police said that in early December, two men were shooting at a third man. But while the bullets never met their target, police said an innocent man was caught in the hail of gunfire.
That man, 31-year-old DeCoby Barlow of Flovilla was heading to his car when he was shot and killed.
Police arrested Jalon Edwards in connection with the shooting but for the months that followed were still searching for Glover. He now sits in the Clayton County jail.
