ATLANTA – If you’re planning a drive during the Memorial Day weekend there are times you will want to stay off the road.
The popular navigation app Waze studied data from last Memorial Day to forecast the best and worst times to travel in metro Atlanta.
The most crowded times on the road, according to Waze, will be:
Friday May 25 between 3 and 5pm.
Saturday May 26 between noon and 2pm
Sunday May 27 between 2 and 4pm
Monday May 28 between 2 and 4pm.
Tuesday May 29 between 3 and5pm.
Data collected by Waze showed a 140% in traffic headed to the beach when compared to the previous two Mondays. There was a 40% jump in traffic headed to shopping centers.
As far as musical tastes, most drivers listened to Drake, The Weekend and J Balvin through the Spotify app in Waze.
