HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -- A Henry County woman accused of killing her 2-year-old foster child was in court on Wednesday.

Jennifer Rosenbaum's attorneys had fought to have the district attorney and staff from prosecuting the case, but the judge denied their motion.

According to the district attorney's office, Rosenbaum had finished law school and was working at the district attorney’s office when she was arrested for Laila Daniel's death.

The defense had argued this was a personal conflict for the people who work in the office who would be called as witnesses.

Along with murder, Rosenbaum is charged with aggravated assault, two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree and second degree cruelty to children.
