BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities say four people, including a small child, were killed Friday in a crash in Bartow County.

According to Georgia State Patrol, a 1996 Toyota Avalon did not stop at a stop sign on Towe Chapel Road at GA SR 140.

As a result, the Avalon was hit by an oncoming 2004 Ford F-150 pickup on the driver side.

The victims were, Shannon Hartsfield, 41, of Cartersville, who was driving the vehicle; Nancy Evans, 53, of Acworth; Richie Willis, 36, of Adairsville and a 6-year-old boy.

Video over the scene shows the markings where officials conducted their investigation.

11Alive reached out to the Hartsfield's daughter who said her mother was in the car with friends when the accident happened.

Hartsfield's daughter told 11Alive her mother liked to fish, swim, jam to good music and cookout.

"She was silly and had a contagious laugh," she said. "It didn't matter what she was doing or going through, she'd drop whatever she was doing and be there for you when it really mattered."
