On Tuesday night, the Atlanta Truck Club honored the members of this year's Powerade All-Metro Cross Country Team with a banquet at the Stave Room in midtown Atlanta.

Last month, thousands of 11Alive.com readers helped select the Atlanta Track Club's 2018 CC squad, which featured a number of standout performers within metro Atlanta.

The eventual listing of accomplished finalists was pared down to 42 runners, 21 boys and 21 girls.

"Each fall, we're inspired by the phenomenal performances of metro Atlanta's young cross country runners,” said Rich Kenah, Atlanta Track Club's executive director. "These athletes are the future of Running City USA, and it's our honor to have them be a part of the 2018 Powerade All-Metro Cross Country Team."

The first-teamers, resulting from the 11Alive voting, received a $500 scholarship from the Atlanta Track Club Foundation.

Within these tallies, the top-ranked male and female garnered the Most Outstanding Athlete awards.

The Atlanta Track Club event was hosted by 2004 Olympian and NBC Broadcaster Carrie Tollefson for the second straight year.

As part of the evening's festivities, Kristi Castlin, the 2016 Olympic bronze medalist and Chapel Hill High School alum, got enshrined into the Georgia Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
