Young college football fans don't remember, but Georgia Tech and Tennessee used to be bitter rivals.

Nathan Cottrell, an A-back for the Yellow Jackets, is from Knoxville, Tenn., and he didn't even know about the old rivalry until the game started coming up.

The two sides haven't played since the 80s, so today's players don't remember. Georgia Tech was in the SEC until 1963, and the two teams played until 1987.

Monday, they meet again in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

It's a big game for both teams looking to start their season on the right foot while being on the national stage.
