Mays beats Carver (Ala.) 49-21 in the Cam Newton C1N Football Showcase

Cam Newton is bringing some of the best high school football teams from around the region to face off in Atlanta this weekend

ATLANTA — Cam Newton brought some of the best high school football teams from around the region to face off in Atlanta this weekend, and there was one place to watch it: 11Alive's digital platforms.

The second game on Saturday against Mays and Carver (Ala.) was a good one, despite an hour delay due to transportation issues by Carver. .

Alex Glaze, Wes Blankenship and Born2Compete's Alex Benson were commentating on 11Alive's broadcast with sideline reporting from Brianna Dahlquist.

Following this game at Lakewood Stadium, Cedar Grove took on Central (Phenix City, Ala.).

Earlier Saturday, Griffin beat Fairfield (Ala.) 44-6. On Friday, Westlake beat Jefferson Davis 30 to 14.
