Falcons fans thank L.A. Rams on Twitter after win over Saints

Online, Falcons fans gleefully poked fun at the Saints' loss, further fueling the long-standing rivalry.

ATLANTA — Falcons fans, your prayers have been answered. 

After the New Orleans Saints lost in a heartbreaking OT loss, the LA Rams will be headed to Atlanta for Super Bowl LIII... and the entire city breathed a sigh of relief.

Had the Saints won the NFC Championship game, they would have been the "home" team, meaning they would be using the Falcons' facilities - including their locker room at Mercedes-Benz Stadium - as their own. Something Falcons fans could not stand for. Even Atlanta's own mayor was rooting for "anybody other than the Saints."
