MARTA shifts to 24/7 service for Super Bowl Weekend

All rail service and limited bus service has gone to full-time service through the weekend.

ATLANTA — MARTA announced Saturday that had started round-the-clock rail service through Tuesday to accommodate the influx of passengers during Super Bowl Weekend.

The 24/7 service is also in effect for selected bus routes.

MARTA ordinarily operates from 4:45 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekends.

A number of bus routes are being rerouted due to street closures in the downtown area.

Visitors and locals alike are advised to take extra time and to download MARTA's smartphone apps before heading out to get the latest updates on route changes and times throughout Super Bowl Weekend.

MARTA officials said service will resume its normal schedule at 2 a.m. Tuesday, February 5.
