Tom Brady might not be the greatest Internet sports troll of all time, but the man certainly has some mad skills.
On Wednesday, Brady posted a seemingly innocuous video on his Instagram account, with the six-time world champion prepping to put on his Patriots helmet for some unknown reason, while working out.
That's when the fun kicked in.
While walking and talking with another person, Brady reached into his helmet and noticed a few strands of confetti inside.
The conventional thinking: The lingering confetti was left over from the Patriots' 13-3 win over the Rams from Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta.
The quick bit immediately poses two questions:
a) Did Brady place the confetti into the helmet after the fact and then use his acting skills to feign surprise ... while the incident just happened to be recorded?
b) If Brady had executed a genuine prank of NFL fans everywhere, via fake confetti, wouldn't it have been funnier to have a few handfuls of confetti in the helmet?
Either way, this 6-second video created a firestorm of arguments among the 11Alive Sports staff.
Last week, the 41-year-old Brady teased the Internet in a funny way, dropping hints of retirement in his first-ever tweet.
The problem: It was an April Fools' Day joke, essentially reaffirming Brady's long-held goal of playing at a highly competitive level until his mid-40s.
