Start time for Sunday's NASCAR race changed due to rain threat

Due to the threat of rain, the start time for Sunday's NASCAR race at Atlanta Motor Speedway has been moved up from 2 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Due to the significant possibility of showers and storms in the area, the start time for Sunday's Folds Of Honor QuikTrip 500 NASCAR race is being moved from 2 p.m. to 1 p.m.

As a result, gates at the Atlanta Motor Speedway will open at 9 a.m. Sunday, one hour earlier than originally scheduled.

In addition, the Atlanta Motor Speedway's Pre-Race Concert presented by iHeartRadio with Chris Janson will start at 11 a.m. near the Start/Finish line on the front stretch of the Speedway.

Kyle Busch will start from the pole position and Ryan Newman is on the outside of the front row for Sunday's race.

Tickets are still available for Sunday's race by calling 1-877-9-AMS-TIX or by visiting www.atlantamotorspeedway.com/nascar.
