John Isner defeated Alexander Zverev at the Miami Open Final 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-4 for the biggest win of his career.

The 32-year-old played at the University of Georgia before going pro in 2007.

He had won 12 ATP tournaments prior to Sunday's win, most of them at the Atlanta Open held annually each summer. The Miami Open is part of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000, the third highest tier of tournaments behind the Grand Slam tournaments and ATP Finals. He was 0-3 in ATP Masters 1000 finals before Sunday.
