One person dead after accident on I-75/85 SB at Langford Pkwy

The wreck left all lanes blocked for nearly two hours

ATLANTA — One person is dead following a multi vehicle crash on the downtown connector southbound at GA 166, Langford Parkway Thursday morning.

Atlanta Police said the crash involved four people, three in a Toyota Avalon and one in a Nissan Armada. The driver of the Toyota Avalon rear ended the Nissan Armada. Two of the three people in the Toyota were taken to Grady Hospital in stable condition, but the person in the backseat died according to police. 

The driver of the Nissan was was also taken to the hospital in stable condition. 

The crash left all lanes blocked, but officials have since cleared the crash.

11Alive Traffic Tracker Crash Clark said the volume from the wreck definitely had a major impact on people traveling through downtown heading to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Five lanes were blocked and traffic officials were diverting drivers off the connector at Langford Parkway. Delays were pretty solid all the way back towards I-20. 

Officials seemingly finished up the on-scene crash investigation around 6:30 a.m.
