ATLANTA — Traffic on the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 approaching the Downtown Connector has been restored to its normal flow following a five-car wreck at about 10:50 a.m. on Friday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, three people were transported to medical facilities for non-life-threatening injuries.
HERO and fire-rescue units could be seen surrounding the wreck, which blocked all lanes, including the exit lane to I-75/85.
Traffic was allowed to begin using I-20 once again at 11:40 a.m. The exit ramps to the Downtown Connector were reopened a short time later.
According to the GSP, the investigation remains underway because the "at fault driver" was transported for medical attention.
