A male driver was traveling southbound on Interstate 575 when his car left the roadway, went airborne and fell between two bridges and landed next to a river.

According to Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the man was driving on I-575 SB when his car left the roadway and entered the median and into a construction site.

His vehicle then hit a gravel embankment and the car went airborne and fell between two bridges next to the river below at Little Bridge River.

The man, now identified as 37-year-old Kevin White, died in the crash. White, according to the sheriff's office, was a chorus teacher at E.T. Booth Middle School in Woodstock.

This incident is still under investigation.
