ATLANTA — Two crashes are causing major traffic and delays in metro Atlanta on Monday afternoon, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation

Interstate 20 closure

Georgia State Patrol said on Monday, a motorcycle hit another car in the back on I-20 going westbound.

The motorcycle driver was taken to Grady Hospital and had serious injuries, GSP said.

Lanes of I-20 were shut down while officials worked the scene near the Fairburn Road exit by Douglasville.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating what happened, and the victim was taken to the hospital.

Interstate 75 closure

A crash also closed lanes on Interstate 75. The crash is at the Canton Road exit. Emergency responders are working to clean up the crash where a dump truck overturned on the highway.

They've closed multiple lanes going northbound on I-75 and GDOT said it is unclear when the lanes will reopen. People are asked to use alternate routes around both of these crashes.
