DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Authorities are reporting multiple injuries following an accident on a major DeKalb County highway on Friday night; however, traffic appears to have mostly cleared.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the accident occurred on U.S. 78 west near Mountain Industrial Boulevard and Brockett Road. The agency reports that the accident involved four vehicles and, at one point, blocked two of three lanes.
The exact number of injuries hasn't been released but dispatch did suggest there were multiple. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
At one point, traffic appeared to be at a standstill, though cameras in the area show it moving once again. GDOT still. reports one lane closed, however.
