ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — Several children are among the injured after a vehicle flipped on I-20 on Monday, ejecting passengers in the process.

The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office said that they were called to the scene on  I-20 East near Sigman Road around noon to reports of an accident with injuries.

Deputies arrived to find that the accident involved an overturned vehicle that was loaded with seven people. Six of the passengers were children who were 11 years old or younger, the sheriff's office said.

Further investigation led to the discovery that four children had been ejected in the crash. Those children and the rest of the passengers of the vehicle were taken to an area hospital for treatment. None of their conditions were released by the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office. The victims' names have also not been released.

The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
