I-285 accident involving Pepsi truck accompanies slick roads

Watch out for some wet weather out there.

ATLANTA — Light rains are causing slippery conditions around the metro, including a Pepsi truck that veered off the road and crashed through a retaining wall on I-285.

That incident happened on I-285 South at the exit to Paces Ferry Road. It was not immediately clear if there were injuries.

The 11Alive StormTrackers expect the morning rain to clear out by mid-morning and make way for a sunny and cool afternoon.

As for the roads, there's backup on I-285 as far back as the Cobb Cloverleaf due to the Pepsi truck incident. Other problems have popped up on I-20 East near the Six Flags Parkway exit due to an accident blocking a lane, and I-20 West appears backed up as well.

And south of the city, I-75 North is experiencing backup at I-285 where an HOV lane is blocked due to an accident.
