BANKS COUNTY, Ga. — One person died in a crash involving a three-wheel motorcycle and a tractor-trailer Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened on I-85 North in Banks County near mile marker 153 around 1:45 p.m.

According to Georgia State Patrol, 67-year-old Michael E. Muller of Seneca, South Carolina, was driving a 2010 Can-Am Spider three-wheel motorcycle behind the truck and tried to pass it. He ended up hitting the left rear wheel, officials said.

After the impact, GSP said the motorcycle veered off the shoulder into the median and the driver was thrown from the motorcycle. The driver of the tractor-trailer pulled over but was not hurt.

Muller was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. No charges are expected in the crash.
