MARTA power problems may impact East line commuters

ATLANTA — A MARTA station experienced a loss of power on Sunday night.

According to Stephany Fisher, the outage at Avondale Rail Yard continues to affect station power at Decatur and Indian Creek.

Riders can expect to have bus transportation from East Lake to Kensington Stations.

Georgia Power crews are working to resolve the problem and alternative bus service will be available until power is fully restored, stated Fisher.

The rest of the MARTA system began Monday morning as usual and no other rail lines were impacted.
